The new falconry regulations go into effect at the state level on September 20, 2010. Between September 20th and the publishing of the new regulations in the Federal Register in January, we will be in a potentially confusing period in which falconry will be governed at the state level by the new regulations, but at the federal level by the old federal regulations.  If you encounter a situation during that period in which you feel you are caught between conflicting regulations, the wise course would be to follow the most restrictive of the two provisions (old federal or new state regulations).

Elections Approaching - New Officers Needed
Wednesday, 25 August 2010 17:57

Now's the time to start thinking about who would like to serve on the next WFA Board. We will need candidates for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer for the 2011 - 2012 term. (Directors are elected in odd years, Board members in even years, and serve for a two-year term.) More information regarding what each position involves will be posted soon. This is simply a reminder to start looking around (or looking within!) and begin to sound out potential candidates.
